Leslie Shane Bernstein has been designing costumes for Theatre, Film, Television and Opera for 30 years in NYC and regionally. Opera plays such a large part in Leslie’s life. Her formative years were spent enjoying opera and ballet as her family were patrons of the MET in NYC. Perhaps that is why Opera is becoming some of her favorite work, including: The Sorcerer (Purchase PAC), Carmen, A Little Night Music, Abduction from The Seraglio, La Cenerentola, Romeo et Juliet, & A Midsummer Nights Dream (Brevard Music Festival) Noya’s Fludde (St Bart’s Cathedral NYC) La Boheme (Ash Lawn Opera)
Recent Opera includes: The Magic Flute (Arizona Opera 2015 & 2023), (Hawaii Opera), (Madison Opera) (Kentucky Opera) and (Pittsburgh Opera).
